SCA Seasonal Job Opportunities


Requirements: Participants must be a woman age 18-25 years old by program start, and must have the ability to legally work in the U.S.  Outdoor experience, knowledge of the Calumet Region and/or being a resident of the South Side of Chicago is a plus!
Responsibilities: The experience is designed to build an ethic of community and environmental stewardship. Activities include using hand and mechanical tools to complete a range of projects in the Calumet region such as: trail and park maintenance; habitat restoration; seeding; and co-leading stewardship days. 
Program Compensation: The program will run from September 7th, 2016 to November 2nd, 2016. Students will work Monday-Friday 32 hours/week and receive a wage of $10.50/hr. If a student misses more than 3 days of work they will be automatically dismissed from the program and will forfeit the remaining stipend.

Additional Information: Transportation will be provided to and from a central pick up location near public transportation, so participants must be able to meet at the central pick up location or have the ability to meet on site.
