Rep. Sims Office to Host Affordable Health Care Act Workshops Every Wednesday in March

CHICAGO, IL – To help provide residents with information about new federal health care changes, state Rep. Elgie Sims (D-Chicago) will be joined by representatives from the Chatham/Avalon Park Community Council in hosting Affordable Care Act Workshops, every Wednesday throughout the month of March at his full-time constituent service office in Chicago.

“I believe it is essential for the residents of my district to make informed and well thought out decisions regarding their future health care coverage,” Sims said. “These free workshops will help area residents learn about the new policy changes, how to enroll, and what plan works best for each individual.”

Representatives familiar with the Affordable Health Care Act, specially trained to help consumers learn about their health plan options and to assist with enrollment, will be on hand to answer questions.
