Financial Roundtable: Are You Ready?......Hosted by AARP

Too many Illinois Workers will retire into poverty:
-In Illinois, 64% of Graduates in 2012 were in debt, with an average debt load of $28,028
-Median amount of retirement savings held by working age adults is $3000
-2.5 Million Illinois workers don't have access to a work-based retirement savings account
-More than 1 in 3 retirees rely on Social Security for at least 90% of their income


The benefits of a new savings plan:
-If passed by the state legislature, Illinois Secure Choice Savings plan would help Illinois private sector employees save for retirement
-Workers who begin saving early and retire at 67 can build a much needed savings, even by contributing just 3% of their salary

This FREE Housing & Resource Fair and Forum is for:

 Housing locating assistance for veterans (apartments, condos and houses)

 Homeless, relocating, transitioning veterans and senior housing

 Veterans in need of additional housing services, including but not limited to:

 SSVF, food pantry, utility assistance, rental assistance, furniture and

 Cash paying veterans, HUD/VASH, and vets receiving other housing supportive

services are all welcome.

 Veterans interested in buying their 1st property or 5th property, are all welcome.
